Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra
Description: The Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra was created in 1996 to provide a quality musical environment for younger, less experienced musicians than those in the Wind Orchestra and is open to high school students of any level. The repertoire chosen for this ensemble is challenging and encourages students to strive for a consistently high level of musical performance.

National Youth Orchestra of Canada
The National Youth Orchestra of Canada is a non-profit organization devoted to the discovery and training of young Canadian symphony orchestra musicians. Since 1960, over 2,600 of Canada's finest young musicians have received orchestral training not available through any other institution.
Approximately one in three musicians performing in Canada's professional symphony orchestras are alumni of the NYOC. The roster of major symphony orchestras in the U.S., Europe and Asia contain NYOC alumni, and many others are busy teaching new generations of musicians.
Every year, auditions are conducted from coast to coast by alumni, faculty and friends of the NYOC, and between 80 and 100 musicians are selected for the session and tour that takes place every summer.
