From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
I would like to thank all of the members of our learning community who responded to the proposal for changing the school day. We received many responses from parents, students and staff in regards to the proposed start times for next year. The responses, as previously indicated, were approximately 60% - 40% in favour of the early start. We shared this information with Student Transportation Services of York Region and were able to negotiate a bus arrival time of 8:40 a.m. for those students who still qualify for bussing under the new York Region guidelines (please refer to our last e-bulletin or on the Vaughan web page at http://www.vaughan.ss.yrdsb.edu.on.ca ). As a result of the Student Transportation Services of York Region being able to rearrange their schedules to accommodate Vaughan students, we are adopting a conciliatory start time of approximately 8:55 a.m. with the school day ending at approximately 3:00 p.m. Please take a moment to peruse the School Day Schedule for the 2007 - 2008 school year attached HERE.
